27 g of protein. Without the extra calories.
Protein is the nutrient many vegetarian Indian diets fall short on. Here's how much you'd need to eat to get the same amount from food, and why the calories matter.
One serve covers about half of it, so your regular dal-roti-sabzi only has to do the rest.

What is "protein per 100 calories"?
It tells you how much of what you eat is actually protein. Take any food, count 100 calories of it, and check how many grams of protein you got. The higher the number, the more protein you get for fewer calories.
Why it matters: if you're trying to eat more protein without gaining weight, or you're managing your calories, a high ratio means you hit your protein goal without the extra calories.
1Based on the ICMR-NIN (2020) recommended intake of 0.83 g protein per kg body weight for healthy adults. Food values are approximate, from Indian Food Composition Tables (IFCT 2017), and exclude oil, ghee or sugar added while cooking.
Two ingredients. That's the whole label.
Moong dal is rich in lysine but low in methionine. Brown rice is the other way round. Together, in the right ratio, they give you all nine essential amino acids. That's what "complete protein" means, and it's why Indian families have eaten them together for generations.

Stir it into anything. Nobody will know.
Neutral taste and heat friendly. Stir it into dal, knead it into roti, whisk it into dosa batter or dissolve it in oats, desserts, upma, yoghurt, buttermilk or shakes. Hot or cold, it disappears.

My 72-year-old mother needed protein but refused every shake. I started adding True Protein to her buttermilk. She doesn't know what's in her meals now and feels better too.Priya, 34Delhi

Every protein supplement made me feel bloated, so I expected to hate this too. Six weeks later: no bloating, no weird taste, no drama.Karan, 32Mumbai

I'm so glad I ordered this for my parents. It was difficult to convince them to have protein. With True Protein, it hides into their food and becomes protein-rich. Love it.Mahesh, 45Bhopal

A plant protein made from just moong dal and brown rice. It's unflavoured, mixes into food or drinks without changing the taste, and gives you 27 g of complete protein per serve.
Will it change the taste of my food?
No. It's unflavoured and taste-neutral, so your dal still tastes like dal and your chai like chai.
Can I add it to hot food?
Yes, it's heat friendly. Stir it into hot dal, knead it into roti dough, whisk it into dosa batter or dissolve it in chai.
How much protein do I get?

What is the protein-to-calorie ratio?

No added sugar and no sweeteners. A serve has 0.2 g of sugar that occurs naturally in the ingredients.
